Partnership in Academic Advancement (PAA) is a collaboration between Minnesota State University, Mankato and area high schools. This partnership offers qualified high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn university credit in their high school setting during regular school hours. All PAA courses are taught by qualified high school instructors who partner with faculty from the University. Students who successfully complete a PAA concurrent enrollment course receive high school credit and Minnesota State Mankato credit.
Minnesota State Mankato is committed to providing a quality experience for the high school student and participating teacher. The University provides a student orientation for each course at the high school, as well as assessment and evaluation of PAA courses to ensure educational rigor. Participating high school teachers work closely with Minnesota State Mankato faculty partners throughout the course.
Note: Minnesota State University-Mankato credits earned through concurrent enrollment have been approved by the South Dakota Board of Regents to be transferred to the Regental institutions in South Dakota.
The Partnership in Academic Advancement program delivers Minnesota State Mankato courses according to individual high school needs.
High school juniors and seniors must meet the same eligibility and admissions requirements as on-campus PSEO students to be considered for the program. The PSEO/Concurrent Enrollment Coordinator and/or the high school counselor will assist students with the application and registration process.
