Personal - On Campus Community Purple and Gold into Green - We recycle 98% of our waste
General paper, newspaper, magazines, and cardboard - hallway purple and yellow containers (LJP) or other recycling, newspaper bins. Note: no plastic wrap or bags, styrofoam, pyrex or dishes - call LJP about recycling those items @ 507.625.1968.
Plastic wrap or bags - TREX bin available near the receiving area in the CSU.
Cans, plastic and glass beverage bottles- hallway purple and yellow containers (LJP).
Ink and laser cartridges - drop off at any Copy Shop or cartridge recycling box.
Minnesota State Mankato Computers - This is the official University method for securely disposing of or reallocating State assets that are electronic storage devices – for example, computers, desktops, laptops, tablets, and external hard drives. Small Electronics - such as cords, keyboards, mice, monitors etc. should be picked up for recycling and/or disposal by Minnesota State Mankato Delivery & Surplus Services or can be placed in the large cardboard electronics recycling container just inside the Trafton North loading docks
Rechargeable or specialty batteries (NiCAD, Li-ion) - contact Environmental Safety and Health Office my submitting a work request at Minnesota State Mankato Facilities Work Order Dry cell batteries (A, AA AAA etc.) can be disposed of in regular trash containers.
Light bulbs (fluorescent, LED, metal halide etc.) - contact Environmental Safety and Health Office my submitting a work request at Minnesota State Mankato Facilities Work Order Standard incandescent bulbs can be disposed of in regular trash containers.
Personal electronics, microwaves, refrigerators, cell phones, light bulbs and computers - Contact GreenTech in Mankato. Make sure no items have University or State of MN asset tags on them.
