Student Recycling Team

Since 2013, the Building Services department at Minnesota State Mankato has trained work-study students on emptying recycling containers in all academic buildings on campus.  These students are what make up the Minnesota State Mankato “Student Recycling Team”.

In addition to their daily work of emptying recycling containers, the students also help out with special events sponsored by the University-wide Environmental Committee, such as RecycleMania, the Sustainability Expo and the environmental speaker events held throughout the year.  The students also participate in the annual Campus Planting and Cleanup Day held in the spring which is sponsored by the Division of Facilities Management.
