Mankato, Minn. – The 73rd Annual Regional Science and Engineering Fair: Elementary Division (grades 3-6) will be held Saturday, April 27 in Myers Field House on the Minnesota State University, Mankato campus.
The exhibit hall will be free and open to the public from 12-2 p.m., and all are welcome to stop in and support the hard work of these future scientists. An award ceremony that begins at 2 p.m. in the Taylor Center’s Bresnan Arena is also open to the public.
The Southern Minnesota Regional Science and Engineering Fair, hosted by Minnesota State Mankato’s College of Science, Engineering & Technology, will include approximately 240 individual and 40 team projects.
According to event organizers, this is the only elementary division fair in Minnesota, and an opportunity that significantly contributes to a student’s educational experience in understanding the scientific method through formulating ideas, creating projects and hands-on experimentation. Students will display projects and provide oral presentations while competing to earn awards from event sponsors.
