Aug. 2: ‘Minnesota State University, Mankato Night at Target Field’ Announced for Twins Baseball Game

Mankato, Minn. – The Minnesota State University, Mankato Office of Alumni Relations announced that Minnesota State Mankato is once again partnering with the Minnesota Twins baseball team to hold “Minnesota State University, Mankato Night at Target Field” on Friday, Aug. 2, when the Twins take on the Chicago White Sox at 7:10 p.m.

Special ticket packages—available in various price ranges to the general public through the Minnesota Twins—include a game ticket and an exclusive co-themed Minnesota State University, Mankato / Twins jersey. Jerseys and seating locations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. (Jerseys are only available by ordering tickets in advance through the Minnesota Twins. Minnesota State Mankato’s Office of Alumni Relations will host a pregame event starting at 4:30 p.m. at Target Field Station, located just outside Gate 6 at the northwest corner of Target Field near 5th Street.

Highlights of the pregame event include a Maverick Machine band performance, FotoGenic Photo Booth, Maverick giveaways, DJ music, lawn games, Stomper mascot and interactions with men’s and women’s athletic teams and coaches.

Members of the NCAA Division II champion men’s and women’s basketball teams will throw ceremonial first pitches on the field between 6:10 p.m. and 6:40 p.m., and Distinguished Alumni Award recipient and ’90 alum Aaron Holm and his family will raise the Maverick flag.

A portion of each ticket purchased through this special ticket package will support the Minnesota State University, Mankato Alumni Association Scholarship Program.
