University Advancement Division Receives CASE Gold Award
Award received for creating scholarship application program for students.
Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Division of University Advancement recently received a gold award in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s 2018 Circle of Excellence awards program.
Minnesota State Mankato was honored with its gold award in the category of “Advancement Services Programs” for creating a centralized application and distribution process as well as a strategic communication plan that streamlines and better informs students about available scholarships.
By implementing the program, Minnesota State Mankato was able to generate significantly more scholarship applications from students and provide more than $600,000 in additional scholarship money to students for the 2018 fall semester than the previous semester.
The communication campaign, launched in the spring of 2017, brought together multiple campus stakeholders – including University Advancement, the University Office of Financial Aid Minnesota State Mankato faculty members and student advisors.
