MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato's Department of Music & Entertainment Industries will present indie pop quartet Given Names in concert 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15 in Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Avenue.

Given Names is a female indie pop quartet from Mankato, Minnesota, featuring Laura Schultz (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Meghan Irwin (synth, backing vocals), Michelle Roche (drums, backing vocals), and Mandy Wirig (lead guitar, backing vocals).

Given Names’ impressionistic songs about identity, loss, and discovery bloom as a result of a symbiosis of Laura’s simply delivered lyrics, Meghan Irwin’s glowing wash of synthesizer, Mandy’s inventive pop lead guitar sensibilities and grounded by Michelle Roche’s orchestral percussion. Given Names is a group that, above all, prioritizes joy and connection.

General admission for the concert is $10. Minnesota State Mankato students are admitted free with a valid MavCARD.
