Feb. 19: ‘Transformational Leadership’ is topic of Minnesota State Mankato’s 2025 Pan African Lecture

Mankato, Minn. – Eric Anthony Johnson, the president and CEO of Aeon, a nonprofit developer, owner and manager of quality, affordable apartment homes in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, will discuss transformational leadership in Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Dr. Michael T. Fagin Pan African Lecture on Wednesday, Feb. 19 in the University’s Centennial Student Union Ballroom.
The lecture, inspired by Johnson’s book, “The Origin of Strength,” is free and open to the public. Free parking will be available in the visitors pay lot (lot 4) across from Centennial Student Union.

Johnson earned a doctorate in urban affairs and public policy from the University of Delaware, an MBA from the University of Tennessee and a master’s degree in public administration from Minnesota State Mankato. He is also an alumnus of the Harvard University Graduate School of Design’s Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate. (Additional biographical information on Johnson is available here.)

The Pan African lecture is committed to developing and enhancing the leadership skills in collegiate Black young adults, as well as provide opportunities for academic scholars, professionals and community members to discuss issues that affect descendants of Africa on a local, national and international level.
Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 15,251 students, is part of the Minnesota State system, which includes 26 colleges and seven universities.
