MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State Mankato’s Department of Music will present the Cold/Živanović Duo performing a classical recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3 in Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Avenue.

The Cold/Živanović Duo was formed in 2018 by Benjamin Cold (pictured above right), saxophone, and Filip Živanović (pictured below right), classical guitar, both D.M.A. alumni from the University of Minnesota. Since its formation, the CZ duo has performed as guest artists at various universities throughout the United States. In November 2018, they performed as guest artists at the International Contemporary Music Festival in Havana, Cuba.

Cold and Živanović are both strong supporters of new and contemporary music written by living composers. As such, they have worked with a variety of both young and established composers on commission projects, expanding the repertoire available for this unique chamber instrumentation.
