July 1: Minnesota State Mankato Campus Community to Welcome New President Edward Inch

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato will hold an informal welcome reception for new University President Edward Inch on Thursday, July 1 from 9-10 a.m. on campus in the Centennial Student Union’s Hearth Lounge.
There will no formal program or speaking remarks at Thursday’s campus reception, which has been scheduled for faculty and staff to meet and greet Inch on his first day as president.
(NOTE TO EDITORS: Thursday’s event is not intended for the public. Members of the media are invited to attend and take photos at the event, but no media interviews with Inch will be scheduled on Thursday. Media interviews with Inch will be available later in July.)
Inch was named Minnesota State Mankato’s 13th president on March 17 by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees.
Inch succeeds Richard Davenport, who has served Minnesota State Mankato’s 12th president since July 1, 2002.
Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 14,604 students, is part of the Minnesota State system, which includes 30 colleges and seven universities.
