Minnesota State University, Mankato Department of Performing Arts News Release

MANKATO – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Theatre & Dance continues the 57th season of Highland Summer Theatre with “Grease,” opening June 12. The production is made possible by a generous sponsorship from Orthopaedic and Fracture Clinic and Farrish Johnson Law Office.

This vibrant and nostalgic musical will take audiences back to 1959 with its infectious songs and memorable characters. Our production features a cast of 22 performers, including several recent alumni, a live orchestra and the same hot rod car that appeared in the 2006 performance of “Grease” at MSU.

“Grease” runs June 12-15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Ted Paul Theatre at the Earley Center for Performing Arts at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Tickets are $24 regular price and $21 for seniors ages 65 and older, children under 16 and groups of 15 or more.

“Grease” closes Highland Summer Theatre, and the Department of Performing Arts will be on a break until August.

The Box Office is open 4-6 p.m. weekdays in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center or buy single tickets online at MSUTheatre.com. Call the Box Office at 507-389-6661.
