March 16: University Jazz Combo, Contemporary Vocal Groups in Concert

MANKATO, Minn. - Minnesota State University, Mankato's jazz combos and contemporary vocal groups will perform on Thursday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Ave.

Douglas Snapp directs the Jazz Combo. The Maverick Fusion and Maverick Vocal Precision a cappella vocal groups are co-directed by Snapp and Stephanie Thorpe.

The Jazz Combo will perform charts by Horace Silver and Sonny Rollins. The Maverick Fusion group will perform arrangements by Daniel Moore and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Maverick Vocal Precision will feature songs by Pentatonix and Paramore.

Minnesota State Mankato students are admitted free with a valid MavCARD. General admission is $9 and $7 for students (K-12) and children. Those who wish to purchase tickets online should go to link.mnsu.edu/musictickets or call the Performance Series office, (507) 389-5549.
