March 25: Minnesota State Mankato’s Annual Schmitz Lecture to Feature Rembrandt Foods CEO Andrew Herr

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s College of Business will host a conversation with Andrew Herr, CEO of Rembrandt Foods, a sustainable egg products company based in Rembrandt, Iowa, on Tuesday, March 25 from 3:30-5 p.m. in Ostrander Auditorium, located in Centennial Student Union.
The annual event, part of the Richard Schmitz Food Entrepreneurship Series, is free and open to the public. Registration is required. Click here to register. Free parking will be available in University Lot 4 (pay lot; located outside Centennial Student Union).

According to a College of Business event preview, Herr has over 20 years of industry experience and has risen through the ranks to become the CEO of Rembrandt Foods, a leading egg company specializing in food ingredients and food service applications. As an entrepreneur and strategic leader, Herr will reflect on his evolution in the industry, the challenges he’s faced and the key lessons he has learned – balancing leadership with life, navigating obstacles and seizing opportunities for growth.

The Richard R. and Mary L. Schmitz Endowment for Opportunities in Food Entrepreneurship, which was founded in 1999, creates scholarships and supports the annual Richard Schmitz Food Entrepreneurship Series. This includes executives within a broad range of food processing, retailing and wholesaling industries.
This lecture provides an opportunity for Minnesota State Mankato’s College of Business to engage the growing sector of agri-business with students, alumni and friends in a format that educates the community about growing needs in the agriculture world.
