MANKATO – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Theatre & Dance will open Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery by Ken Ludwig on May 29 in the Andreas Theatre at the Early Center for Performing Arts.
The first show of the 53rd season of Highland Summer Theatre, Baskerville tells the story of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, who must navigate through a dizzying web of clues, deceit and disguises to crack the mystery of “The Hound of Baskervilles” before a family curse dooms its newest heir. This witty farce cleverly tells the story of over 40 characters with only five actors, and will leave you dying of laughter.
Baskerville runs May 29-June 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Andreas Theatre at the Earley Center for Performing Arts at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Tickets are $16 regular and $14 for seniors ages 65 and older, children under 16 and groups of 15 or more.
Next up in Highland Summer Theatre is “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder,” followed by “Shadowlands,” and “Sister Act” will close the season.
