Minnesota State Mankato to Host Microbiology Conference
78th Annual Meeting of the North Central Branch of the American Society for Microbiology is Sept. 28-29.
Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Biological Sciences is host for the 78th Annual Meeting of the North Central Branch of the American Society for Microbiology on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-29 at the Verizon Center in Mankato.
More than 50 oral and poster presentations addressing ground-breaking research in infectious disease, food safety, industrial microbiology, and environmental microbiology will be given by graduate and undergraduate students as well as faculty and post-doctoral researchers.
Minnesota State Mankato Department of Biological Sciences faculty members who are on the meeting’s organizing committee are Allison Land, Lois Anderson, Yongtao Zhu and Timothy Secott. Graduate and undergraduate student volunteers, including members of Minnesota State Mankato’s Microbiology Club, are helping at the event.
