Nov. 10: Upward Bound Sponsoring Red Cross Blood Drive at Minnesota State Mankato

Mankato, Minn. – Upward Bound at Minnesota State University, Mankato is sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Minnesota State Mankato’s Centennial Student Union Ballroom.

Completion of a RapidPass® online health history questionnaire is encouraged to help speed up the donation process. To get started, follow the instructions at RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass or use the Blood Donor App.

According to the American Red Cross, blood is a perishable product that can only come from generous volunteers. By donating blood, individuals can make a difference in the lives of patients in their community and throughout the nation. Blood supplies are currently critically low.

Donors will receive a $10 e-gift card, and the Red Cross is offering free water bottles to donors while supplies last. Parking codes for the Minnesota State Mankato visitors pay lot will be available.

Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 14,482 students, is part of the Minnesota State system, which includes 26 colleges and seven universities.
