MANKATO, Minn. – The Jazz Mavericks Big Band will perform on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. in the Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Ave.

Originally formed as a traditional jazz big band, the Jazz Mavericks have expanded to include multiple instruments and vocalists performing a broad range of jazz related repertoire (jazz, rock, funk, Latin, hip-hop, etc.).

Douglas Snapp directs the Jazz Mavericks. The program will include traditional big band arrangements and arrangements of current pop music.

Minnesota State Mankato students are admitted free with a valid MavCARD. General admission is $9 and $7 for students (K-12) and children. Those who wish to purchase tickets online should go to hss.mnsu.edu/music-events or call the Performance Series office, (507) 389-5549.
