Sept. 18: Volk Transfer CEO Troy Volk to Speak at SBDC 'Behind the Success' Event

Mankato, Minn. – Troy Volk, CEO of Volk Transfer, Inc., a logistics company headquartered in Mankato, will share experiences, obstacles and achievements from his career on Wednesday, Sept. 18 in a 4-5:30 p.m. interview and audience Q&A at Pioneer Bank (1450 Adams Street) in Mankato.

The event, presented as the latest in the South Central Small Business Development Center’s “Behind the Success” speaker series, is intended for entrepreneurs, both new and experienced. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required, and seating is limited.

According to provided event information, Troy Volk represents the third generation to lead Volk Transfer, which was founded by his grandfather Frank Volk in 1948 as a one-truck operation. Troy’s father, Rick, took over ownership in the early 1970s.

After Rick’s unexpected death in 1993, Troy took over the family business, and the company has grown significantly, expanding its services nationally and internationally. It now includes several divisions, such as local and over-the-road trucking, logistics, warehousing and fulfillment. Volk Transfer celebrated its 75th anniversary last year.
