Sept. 26: Concert at Minnesota State Mankato to Feature Paul Metsa, Sonny Earl

MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato's Department of Performing Arts will present Paul Metsa and Sonny Earl in concert 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 in Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Avenue.

Paul Metsa is a legendary musician based in Minnesota. Metsa is a seasonal performer who has performed both locally and internationally in Iceland and Siberia. Besides being a well awarded musician, Metsa is also an author, radio and television host, and social activist. The Huffington Post as referred to Mesta as, “The other great folksinger from Minnesota’s Mesabi Iron Range.”

Joining Paul onstage will be Sonny Earl, a harmonica player and vocalist from Minneapolis. Earl has played onstage with Hubert Sumlin, Cory Stevens, Ana Popovic, and Blackfoot, to name a few. Sonny Earl is an outstanding performer. Audiences enjoy his passion showcased by his powerful vocals and rapid harmonica playing.

General admission for the concert is $10. Minnesota State Mankato students are admitted free with a valid MavCARD.
