MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State Mankato's Department of Performing Arts hosts The Luke Leblanc Band on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Hooligans, 1400 East Madison Avenue (Madison East Center), Mankato. Local musicians Emma Josephine and the Lost Walleye Five will open the show with a set starting at 7:15 p.m.

LeBlanc is a Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter who delivers dynamic and versatile original performances that feature a warm, organic merging of rootsy folk and pop. The Current says LeBlanc’s music is, “delicate, understated, and careful in its construction. LeBlanc dazzles the stage with his impressive lyricism and catchy melodies.”

The supporting act is a combination of local musician and features Minnesota State Mankato music major Emma Josephine. The Lost Walleye Five have been recognized for their outstanding performances. Every member has been a finalist for a Minnesota Music Award in various individual and group categories.
