International Sport Management (MS)
Summary
Our one-of-a-kind master’s in International Sport Management is uniquely designed to utilize the strengths of three different universities in Minnesota, The Netherlands, and Ireland to develop competitive sport business leaders through a comprehensive global education. In one calendar year students study in three different countries to complete this distinct program incorporating both theory and its application through tackling real-world issues with actual sport business partners within and outside of the classroom. Each university will focus on their strengths and teach the following:
- Minnesota State University, Mankato - international sport management, advanced sport marketing, and international sport business ethics and diversity
- HAN University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands) - sport digital marketing analytics, international sport economics and finance, and techniques of research.
- National University of Ireland, Galway - international sport law and governance, sport business innovation and sustainability, and international sport media and communication.
The program focuses on current trends, problem-solving, and applying course concepts to real sport business situation across the globe and through various cultures. Students will meet with sport business executives and tour facilities in the US and across Europe. The curriculum follows the guidelines set by COSMA for the preparation of global sport business leaders and culminates with an international field experience and project.
