About Avery
As a Graduate Assistant, I help with promatic behind the scenes work. I also work with the Prairie Winds Middle School students as a Student Success Coach.
My best piece of advice when thinking about the future:
- Ask yourself 1.) Does my plan lead me to something I like doing and 2.) Does my plan lead to something that I will be good at? When thinking about our end goals it is important to have these questions in mind because if you see picture yourself at 40 years old being happy with what you do and good at what you do will be the 2 most important things.
Major in college:
- Psychology
Currently studying:
- Sports, Exercise and Performance Psychology
My favorite class in College:
- Social Psychology
Other careers/majors I had considered:
- I considered many careers; Teaching, Occupational Therapy, and Social Work just to name a few.
My favorite part about college:
- The personal growth I made. I really grew out of my shell socially and met so many awesome people from friends and fellow students to coworkers and professors.
A job that I don’t feel I could do but intrigues me:
- I would love to be a professional baseball player but I am not quite skilled or athletic enough.
