The University Advising Center provides academic advising for all students who haven't picked a major yet or who may be unsure of their initial choice of major. If you're considering a few different majors, we can refer you to resources for more information.
The role of academic advising within our office is to supplement faculty efforts and to advise students who are undecided including those who have barriers interfering with their academic success.
A quick and easy way to change your major, add a minor, change your catalog year, or change your advisor.
Each Academic College has an advising office. Find contact information and learn about the different majors offered!
During the Fall and Spring semesters, Walk-ins are offered
Monday – Friday, 12:30 – 3:00
Stop by our office in Memorial Library 111 during our walk-in hours to discuss classes. Give us a call at 507-389-1650 if you prefer Zoom. Walk-ins may be limited to 10-15 minutes.

If you're not sure where to begin with choosing a major, here are some steps to help with considering your options for a major.
Undecided majors or students exploring a variety of majors should schedule an advising appointment with an advisor in the University Advising Center.
