WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR UNDERGRADUATE MAJOR?
I initially pursued a degree in Computer Science, but after several semesters, I found myself struggling to grasp the fundamental concepts of programming. Seeking a more suitable fit, I made the decision to transition to Mathematics. I've always had a natural affinity for math and excelled in the subject throughout my academic journey. The best part was that I was able to transfer my previously completed credits, allowing me to continue my education without any loss of progress.
WHY ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT ADVISING?
I have a strong desire to see students succeed and achieve their academic and career goals. Advising allows me to have a direct impact on students' success by providing them with guidance and support in navigating their academic and professional journey. It also allows me to play a crucial role in shaping students' futures and helping them realize their potential. The opportunity to positively influence students' lives is a motivating factor of mine. Also, being an advisor offers me the chance to build strong, meaningful relationships with students and provide them with individualized support and mentorship.
What's a fun fact about you?
I'm a huge fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and my go-to Avenger is the genius billionaire philanthropist, Iron Man! There's something about Tony Stark's wit, intelligence, and unwavering dedication to justice that makes him a truly compelling character. From his iconic suit to his sharp wit, Iron Man is the perfect blend of tech and heroism.
