Message from the Dean

Welcome to Global Education at Minnesota State University (MNSU), Mankato. I am so excited to join the MNSU community as your new Dean of Global Education this summer, 2024. In the brief time that I have been here, I have already learned so much about why MNSU is a global destination for many. With student, faculty, and staff representation from over 90 countries, our learning community is truly international. You will find opportunities across our many colleges, programs, centers, and organizations to truly engage in a one-of-a-kind learning experience, in a community that values connection and care.

Please allow me to introduce our Global Education Centers so you can connect immediately with the Center that most immediately meets your need:

Kearney International Center (KIC) assists incoming degree-seeking international students with all things necessary to matriculate into our degree programs at the undergraduate or graduate level. Additionally, you will find an active community of support through the KIC focused on ensuring your success on our campus and in our community.

The Center for Global Engagement (CGE) manages our education abroad and away programs (did you know that you can study around the world while at MNSU, and even around the US?!). They also help faculty develop faculty-led study abroad programs and manage an active network of partner universities around the globe who send students to MNSU and who host our domestic students abroad.

Our Center for English Language Programs (CELP) offers intensive English language programs to students seeking to improve proficiency to enroll in our degree programs. CELP also works with institutions and sponsoring agencies to create customized learning programs to support English language learning. CELPs model of learning infuses intensive language instruction with critical cultural learning necessary for success in today’s markets.
