I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2005 with a BA in Health Promotion and minors in Spanish and Psychology. After graduating, I spent two years in Sao Paulo, Brazil and loved living cross-culturally! My Spanish and Portuguese have merged into a rusty 'Portanol' but I'm happy to practice if anyone wants to hear it! After returning from Brazil, I spent the past 15 years working with a nationally recognized international student organization called Bridges International. I've had opportunities to spend time in a few countries over the years for my work with Bridges and just for fun including: Ukraine, France, Switzerland, India, Sri Lanka, Chile, Spain, Morocco, Mexico and Canada. I love learning about culture, trying food from around the globe, and welcoming students to the U.S. in the same way that I have felt welcomed in so many places around the world. I am married and have 3 daughters and a small herd of guinea pigs. Stop by and see me in the Kearney International Center!
