Global Hour:Educating Globally-Competent Graduates of Minnesota State Mankato

FEBRUARY GLOBAL HOUR EDUCATING GLOBALLY- COMPETENT GRADUATES OF MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO -Sophia Hoiseth, an alumna of Minnesota State Mankato, will share her story of global citizenship and how the University helped her build skills and dispositions to make a difference on a global scale during her studies and after graduation.

Sophie Hoiseth is a Minnesotan who grew up abroad, living in Poland, Peru, and Qatar. She moved back to the United States to attend Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she majored in Political Science and minored in Nonprofit Leadership.

Today, she is employed full time at the YWCA Mankato where she hosts events and programs that aim to empower women and eliminate racism, a mission she is honored to uphold.
