What is D2L Brightspace?

D2L Brightspace is a learning management system for course websites. This is where you access your online class.

Log in to view course content, engage in discussions, submit assignments, take quizzes, view your grades, communicate with your professor and classmates, and more.

How to Access D2L

  1. Navigate to https://d2l.mnsu.edu, the website for our university's Desire2Learn sites.
  2. Use your Star ID and password to log in. Your Star ID is given to you when you enroll in the university and register for classes.
  3. Once logged in, you will see your course listed under the My Courses widget.

Basic Troubleshooting

If... Then...
you missed the deadline for your assignment or quiz or you do not understand lecture or assignment instructions
  • Contact you instructor or teaching assistant
you cannot log in or your course does not appear after you log in into D2L
  • Verify that you are officially registered for the course and your instructor is using D2L for this course.
  • Check course start date.
  • If you just registered, it may take 1-2 days before you can log into D2L course
  • Contact D2L helpdesk at https://mnscu.sharepoint.com/sites/D2Lsupport

you have technical problems with your internet connection or computer
