Application Checklist:
- Submit your application and pay the $20 fee.
- Request that an official high school transcript and your optional ACT score be sent to the Office of Admissions (unless test-optional).

Important Dates
June 1 (before your senior year in high school) | Application for admissions opens for summer and fall enrollment. |

December 1 | FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) opens for the following academic year. |
January 15 | Priority deadline for scholarship applications |
February 14 | Priority housing deadline for guaranteed housing. |
Your college application is due five days before the start of classes, but we recommend submitting it much sooner.
Admission Decisions
Your application is accepted by the University’s guaranteed admission criteria, and you are offered admission to enroll as a student at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Your application is denied, and we are unable to offer admission to enroll as a student at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Denied students are encouraged to apply for transfer admission for a future semester.
If your application does not meet the guaranteed admission requirements, you can submit additional information, including a personal statement, letter of recommendation, and senior year grades, for the University to consider when reviewing your application.
Admissions Decision Timing
Submit your complete application, and within 7-10 days, you’ll hear back from us. Just make sure to apply at least 5 working days before classes begin!
