Brand Fonts

The use of consistent, effective typography can help bring a brand to life. Brand fonts are an important part of a visual identity and help ensure that all communications and promotional materials are aligned with the University brand. University Marketing and Communications has identified brand fonts that are readable and user-friendly that can be used in most applications; if you have questions about what to use when, email brand@mnsu.edu.


Primary Fonts:

The University is using the Quatro family as its primary fonts. Quatro is an Adobe font and can be accessed through the Adobe suite.

Headline Font: Quatro Slab

Quatro Slab is the basis of the university’s new logo serves as the preferred headline font marketing materials and institutional communications.

Body Font: Quatro

Quatro is a coordinating sans serif that serves as the preferred body copy font for marketing materials and institutional communications.


Alternate Fonts:

Alternate fonts can be used when Quatro is not available or applications where Quatro would not be suitable. These fonts are appropriate for letters, emails and other informal communications.

Kanit

Kanit is a free Google font for web use that has a very similar look Quatro. Download Kanit
