Engaging students in an online classroom is important, feasible, and even fun. This session will cover several key strategies: creating dynamic discussion forums, small groups that learn together, and variation in style of feedback. The COVID-inspired push to adapt all-of-the-online-teaching-tactics-all-of-the-time is overwhelming and fatiguing. This session is intended to offer a few key ways in which to foster active learning in your online synchronous or asynchronous class.
