We typically start our journey with a destination. If you have your destination and ask google maps or Siri to find a route from place A to place B, we get three different options. No matter which route we follow, we will reach our destination. Similarly, as a curriculum architect/designer, whether our design is forward or central or backward, our goal is high-quality teaching and student success. Each approach has its own merits and challenges. This session will focus on the backward design process, methods of assessing backward designed courses, and backward design application. The recent move to all virtual teaching is overwhelming, but this session attempts to make things a little convenient for you.
