Welcome to Minnesota State University, Mankato! The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) would like to invite you to attend our New Faculty Orientation on Tuesday, August 17^th, and Wednesday, August 18^th. Join us to learn about university tools to help you be successful in the classroom, a variety of teaching strategies, and the University’s team of instructional designers will guide you through course design principles to help you meet student learning needs here at Minnesota State University Mankato.

• 9:20am-10:00am - Science of Learning 
• 10:00am – 10:50am - Inclusive Teaching Practices  
• 11:00am – 11:50am - Workshopping Session I- Beginning with Backward design 
• 11:45am – 12:50pm Lunch break with Deans and Professional Photos 
• 1:00pm-1:50pm - Workshopping Session II- Design your Assessments 
• 2:00 – 2:50pm - Workshopping Session III- Active Learning & Student Engagement 
• 3:00pm – 3:50pm - Workshopping Session IV- D2L Course Design 
• 3:50pm – 4:15pm – Student Academic Support Program & Wrap up
