In Memoriam: Mark Halverson
Longtime KMSU Blues Host died on Saturday, november 6th
It is with a very heavy heart that we report the passing of longtime KMSU Blues host Mark Halverson, who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, November 6th.
Mark's first Blues program aired on KMSU's AM affiliate in 1972, and in 1991 he went on to host KMSU's flagship Blues program 'Blues Before Monday'. In the years that followed he expanded his programs into Blue Monday on Monday nights and Blues Break on weekdays at 11:30 a.m. His passion for the genre extended into booking and promoting concerts in the area, including many 'KMSU Presents' performances. He also served as a director for the Minnesota Blues Society.
