MOM Fest Performances to air on The MMC
Special programming also includes long form discussion of MN bands from the 60s-70s
The Minnesota Music Channel will be celebrating the the rich and diverse music that the land of 10,000 lakes has produced with two hours of exclusive programming that will air on Friday, August 25. You will be able to stream it via the KMSU app, available as a free download for Apple and Android devices.

The programming begins at 7:00 p.m. with an hour of musical highlights from the second annual Minnesota Original Music Festival, which toook place in July of 2023. These live performances provide a great snapshot of the incredible weath of talent and diversity this region is fortunate to have. This broadcast will feature the majority of performers that graced the stage during the final two days of the festival.
At 8:00 p.m. the MMC will feature a discussion on the Mankato music scene of the 1960s and 1970s. Minnesota music historian and author Tom Tourville, KMSU host John Cass, and MMC Curator Shelley Pierce engage in a freewheeling discussion that fans of The Gestures, The Prince and The Paupers, The Episcureans, Highway, The Nightcrawlers, Leaves of Grass and more will not want to miss.
