Wednesday, September 11
Bob Dylan has released TWO albums on September 11! In 2001 he released the critically acclaimed Love and Theft album, which went on to win the Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album in 2002. In 2012 he put out the surprisingly dark Tempest album, which would be his last collection of original material for eight years.
Friday, September 13
Two major music events took place in Minnesota on this date. In 2014 The Replacements performed in Minnesota for the first time in nearly 25 years when their Back by Unpopular Demand tour played at Midway Stadium in St Paul. 2017 was hit with tragedy when Husker Du drummer Grant Hart passed away after a long battle with Cancer.

Husker Du released Flip Your Wig in 1985.This was their fourth album and their last release on SST Records before the band moved to Warner Bros,

Mimi Parker from Low was born on this day in 1967. September 15 also saw the release of The Jayhawks' album Hollywood Town Hall in 1992.
