The Rocky Horror/Bat Out of Hell Pageant & Singalong takes place on Saturday, October 26th at eight p.m. at Patrick's on 3rd, 125 S 3rd St., in Saint Peter, MN. Admission is free, but seating is exceptionally limited for this one-and-done performance.
The Pageant & Singalong Nation was born from a lifelong dream that creative director Ann Rosenquist Fee had to put together an amateur performance of Jesus Christ Superstar just for the heck of it. That dream was brought to life in 2017, when a group of enthusiastic folks came together and actually pulled it off. Their performance of the Jesus Christ Superstar Pageant & Singalong was so popular that a second performance was added, and the whole thing was done again the following year. After that it was time for a nap.
After a year of reflection and getting psyched up, the Pageant & Singalong Nation has been roused from hybernation for another ambitious one-time-only performance. On Saturday, October 26th, they're performing an insane hybrid of Richard O'Brien's Rocky Horror Show and Jim Steinman's Bat Out of Hell. The event doubles down on the Meat Loaf, since he's key in both productions, as well as the "let's put on a show" nature of the Pageant & Singalong Nation. Music fans are shivering with antici...
...pation for this show, and seating is limited, so you might want to get there early for this 8pm performance, because it's only going to happen once. After that it'll be something that folks in the community will tell tales of, passing them along from generation to generation, until it becomes something that either inspires others to put on their own shows, or it transforms into a story that is used to frighten children into behaving. Either way, it's going to be memorable, and you don't want to miss it.
