2 Day Orientation Agenda

• Students are required to attend the entire two day program in order to register for classes.
• Program check-in begins at 10:15 a.m. on day one, and orientation typically ends by 4:00 p.m. on day two. Lunch is not included on day one of orientation. 

Day One Overview 

10:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Orientation Check-in 

10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MavCARD Student ID

• Student ID card pick up for those submitting their photo online
• On-Site photos taken for those without pre-approved online photo

10:45 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Financial Aid Information Session

1:00 p.m.: Orientation Begins

1:00-4:00 p.m.: Information Sessions

• Student Financial Services- Financial Aid, Billing, and Important Dates
• Academic Expectations and Information
• Residential Life
• Meal Plans

4:15-6:30 p.m.: Math and English Placement Testing

• Alternative activites will be available for students who do not need to take the placement test.

5:30- 6:45 p.m.: Dining Center Open for Dinner

7:00-11:30 p.m. : Nighttime Orientation Activities (Students Only)

• Meet your orientation small group
• Q & A with current students
• Group activities
• Campus recreation time at Otto Recreation Center
• Bowling and billiards at the Maverick Bullpen 

Day Two Overview 

7:15-8:30 a.m.: Room Checkout and Breakfast

8:00-9:30 a.m.: MavCARD Student ID Pick Up

8:30- 9:15 a.m: Campus Resource and Office Fair

8:45 a.m.-9:15 a.m. Optional Information sessions

9:30-11:15 a.m.: Information Sessions

2:00-4:00 p.m.: Computer Purchase and Set-up Assistance (Campus Computer Store)
