Overview
The Master of Science Program in Communication Sciences and Disorders leads to careers in speech-language pathology (SLP). SLPs serve persons with communication disorders and promote scientific investigation in the normal and abnormal development and use of communication, speech, language, hearing, and swallowing.

- The majority of classes are completed during the first year on campus in Mankato.
- A small number of courses are taken online along with internships during the second year.
Application Requirements
- A completed CSDCAS application
- Transcripts from any post-secondary institution from which you earned credit toward your undergraduate degree. This includes courses for college credit that were taken in high school (e.g., Post-secondary education option-PSEO).
- Three letters of recommendation (free form letter; no required format)
- Personal essay/letter of intent (free form; no required format)
Optional materials include:
- Resume/CV or other listing of pertinent experiences
- Application for a Graduate Assistant position
Additional Requirements for International Applicants
- TOEFL iBT scores sent directly to CSDCAS using code C122. A minimum score of 61 is required.
- Credential Evaluation prepared by a National Association of Credentials Evaluation Service member
