The Professional School Counseling Program prepares culturally responsive school counselors who are equipped to support the academic, mental health, and career-development needs of Minnesota’s diverse K-12 students. The program’s emphasis on social justice and anti-oppressive practices prepares students to act as collaborative leaders in their future schools and communities. Through CACREP accredited coursework and clinical practice, graduates who obtain a counseling degree from the Department of Counseling and Student Personnel are prepared to be eligible for licensure and certification at the state and national level.
