Overview
The certificate offers students the opportunity to evaluate numerous feminist theories of social justice; synthesize social change strategies; enhance oral and written communication; and analyze GWS as a movement and discipline.

Program Highlights
- Gender and Women's Studies prepares students for careers in human services, the media, community organizing, and education, among many possibilities.
- The Gender and Women's Studies graduate certificate is available to anyone who wishes to learn more about GWS, including students currently pursuing a graduate degree at Minnesota State Mankato and post-baccalaureate working professionals.
Application Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Students considering the GWS graduate certificate are asked to contact GWS Graduate Coordinator Dr. Maria Bevacqua (maria.bevacqua@mnsu.edu) to make an advising appointment.
This certificate program is not eligible for I-20 issuance.
- International applicants must submit a TOEFL score of 79 or an IELTS score of 6.5 from the academic examination.
- Credential Evaluation prepared by a National Association of Credentials Evaluation Service member.
