As a counselor you play an integral role in ensuring student success. Many counselors collaborate with the high school instructor to help students apply, submit transcripts, ACT scores, and assist in registering students for the appropriate course(s).
Application Process
All students enrolled in concurrent enrollment must be admitted to campus prior to the course starting.
The PSEO Office can assist in managing the application process with your school. If you'd like one of our staff to be at your school, or schedule a Zoom room, please reach out to us at pseo@mnsu.edu. Please provide at least two weeks notice.
We've developed resources to help students, counselors, and instructors navigate the application process. A Step-by-Step Guide that walks through the e-application and a video tutorial that is downloadable and shareable.
Each student will be required to register for each course they would like to receive university credit for. Registration comes after the student has been admitted to campus. Check out our Admission Requirements page for more information.
Registration Process
Once students are admitted to campus they are able to register for the courses. A couple of tips to help with registration:
- Students should have their StarID and password. If student forget their information they can email pseo@mnsu.edu or call 507-389-1956. We can look up their StarID and help them reset their password. Students should NOT create a new StarID.
- Courses are designed to allow students to register during a specific window. After that window closes students will not be able to register. It is important for students to register within the registration window.
- If a student experiences troubles during registration they should email a screenshot of the error, their name, and high school to pseo@mnsu.edu immediately. One of the PSEO staff will respond with a solution.
- Only the high school instructor will have access to the official university roster. It is expected that they are verifying the roster.
