NACEP Accreditation
Minnesota State Mankato is proud to be accredited through the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP)
What is NACEP Accreditation
NACEP Accreditation ensures concurrent enrollment courses are offered, and designed, to the same level of rigor as they would be at Minnesota State Mankato. Some highlights of NACEP accreditation include:
- Prior to teaching a course the high school instructor and faculty will meet to discuss the course learning outcomes, syllabi, and approved textbooks
- The faculty partner will visit the instructor's classroom to observe the class for student rapport, level of questions, and class orientation. During these visits some faculty will be asked to lecture or assist in the class. Faculty often leave the visit with lesson plan ideas the instructor used.
- Each year the concurrent enrollment program hosts a professional development day. We update partners on trends, data, and successes from the previous year. They also have the opportunity to meet with their faculty partners to discuss the upcoming year.
- Courses are transcripted identical to campus courses. NACEP believes if accredited institutions align courses, students should be given appropriate credit for those courses.
