New Communicating Psychological Science Website
Announcing the launch of a new resource: Communicating Psychological Science!
This website was conceptualized by Dr. Karla Lassonde and Dr. Emily Stark of Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a goal of addressing a growing need as well as a current area of focus within the discipline of psychology: Improving our ability to effectively communicate about our work as scientists. This resource features student and faculty contributions about research in psychology, mythbusting, unique classroom projects, and broad aspects of science communication, with a goal of forming a network of instructors, researchers, and others focused on improving communication skills around psychological science.
Dr. Lassonde and Dr. Stark received a grant in 2018 from the Association for Psychological Science via their Teaching Fund to cover the costs of site development, and partnered with the company ScienceSites to design the website and organize initial content. The site features blog posts written by undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and guest writers that address a range of topics related to psychological science, as well as other useful resources for anyone interested in learning about psychology.
We are excited to launch this new website and look forward to engaging the public with psychological science! Please don’t hesitate to contact us via the contact form on the site with any ideas for useful content or other resources.
