Former Maverick Hockey Player Talks Applied Leadership and Nonprofit Leadership on Fox Sports North
On May 25, former Maverick Hockey player David Backes was interviewed by former teammate Ryan Carter on Fox Sports North's Unscripted.
In the interview, he mentions his time as a Maverick Hockey player, but also how important it was to complete his education. Backes completed his Bachelor of Science in Applied Organizational Studies (now Applied Leadership), along with a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership. He credits the mock charity assignment during his NPL studies for helping him create his real charity, Athletes for Animals.
