Healthy Communities 2020 and beyond: The social determinants of health
Call for Proposals
The 2020 Health & Biomedical Sciences Summit will take place Oct. 7, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the CSU. This year’s theme is “Healthy Communities 2020 & Beyond: The Social Determinants of Health.” The planning committee is currently accepting proposals for breakout sessions (A prepared 20-minute presentation followed by 10 minutes of Q&A) and poster presentations. The goal is to have representation from all areas of the social determinants of health.
Social Determinants of health:
- Education
- Economic stability
- Food
- Healthcare system
- Neighborhood and physical environment
- Social and community context
If you feel you have a presentation that speaks to this year’s theme, we encourage you to apply for consideration. Deadline to submit proposals is Feb. 14, 2020.
