Law Enforcement Skills Program

Training to Take Place on Campus May 11-June 19

May 11, 2020 |

Law Enforcement students will participate in skills training May 11-June 19 on campus. While on campus, students will participate in various activities in classrooms, parking lots and other spaces on campus. They will primarily be located in Morris Hall, but may utilize other spaces as necessary. Please note that some activities may include reenactments of real-life scenarios that may sound alarming but are part of the training process.

More than 40 students will be on-site to complete their training Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The additional time is to allow for social distancing and appropriate cleaning protocols. This program is required training for all Law Enforcement Students in order to take the POST exams to become licensed peace officers in the State of Minnesota. This face-to-face program was declared essential by Governor Tim Walz, in order to ensure licensed peace officers are entering the workforce.
