8th Annual Foam Party brings back the popular After Party
–The Student Events Team will be hosting the 8th Annual Foam Party at the CSU Loading Dock. The Foam Party will be held August 28, 2021 and will start at 8 p.m. and go until 11 p.m. An after party with activities for those not wanting to venture into the foam will begin at 9 p.m. and end at 11:59 p.m.
Students must wear shirts, shoes/sandals, and shorts or pants. It is suggested that students wear swimming suits under their clothing because they will get wet. This is free for students. The foam party will feature foam machines suspended above the crowd Also, students will receive a plastic bag to protect their phone and other valuables. This event is presented by sponsors Kwik Trip and fun.com
"We are really excited to bring back the extremely popular after party,” says Hunter Whitmore, Student Events Team Events Committee’s Mavericks After Dark Chair. “2019 was a hit we’ve add inflatables, prizes and Kwik Trip will be handing out free food.”
This event features two foam machines that produce enough foam to fill a 100 square foot area in 3 minutes. DJ CNDRM will spin EDM and Top 40 tracks or the crowd. He is former MSU student, who has been the house DJ at local establishments for a few years. The lights are being brought down directly from a club in the Twin Cities. The Foam Party will feature an after party with inflatables, free food, and a giant screen video game tournament.
Throughout the night there will be UV reactive paint sprayed over the crowd. Not only will students leave covered in foam, but will also look like a rainbow.
This has been a traditional event for the Student Events Team the past six years and has only been improved on by adding more fun each year.
