Follow-Up Session: "Because I Said I Would," Featuring Alex Sheen - 2020 U-LEAD Conference

The 7th annual U-Lead Conference is taking on a different look this year.  Two sessions will be taking place each evening, Monday-Thursday, at 7 and 8 p.m.  Check Back here for more details as session descriptions and more info becomes available.

This session will be held Tuesday, October 20, at 8:00 p.m.  The session, specific for MSU, will be presented remotely and live streamed on Zoom, but in-person engagement and attendance will be offered in Ostrander Auditorium.  The in-person capacity will be limited to 60 attendees.

Following the incredibly powerful keynote address, the 8:00 p.m. session takes a deeper dig into the concepts and ideas shared by Alex.

We live in a society that often does not respect the importance of a promise. It is too easy to say "I'll get to it" or "tomorrow." In many ways we have become numb to disappointment and broken commitments. This expectation starts to fade into our character as individuals. Alex Sheen believes that every individual has the strength to become a person of their word. About Alex Sheen

Alex Sheen is the founder of because I said I would, a social movement and nonprofit dedicated to bettering humanity through promises made and kept. Sparked by the loss of his father, Alex and his organization send “promise cards” to anyone anywhere in the world at no cost. Alex is someone who truly honors commitment.
