Indigenous Astronomy Night

Jeffers Petroglyph Historic Site
MSU students and staff can join us for an evening of fun while exploring Indigenous Astronomy at Jeffers Petroglyphs Historic Site. The event kicks off at 4pm with astronomy-themed activities provided by the Bell Museum and tours led by Jeffers Petroglyphs staff. From 7-9pm, Indigenous educator Jim Rock will lead a tour exploring the Native American Rock Carvings at Jeffers Petroglyphs and discuss how they relate to the night sky. Weather permitting, the event will culminate with a viewing of the night sky with telescopes.
Registration is required and includes sandwiches for dinner. Limited spots are available for transportation from campus.
